The Blarney Rebel Band

The Blarney Rebel Band hails from the Celtic hotbed of Central New York.
From the instant they take the stage, the principal aim of The Blarney Rebel Band is to get the audience dancing, clapping and singing (and maybe raising the occasional pint!) With their rousing renditions of all types of traditional Irish music, from rollicking pub tunes, lively sea songs, moving ballads and stirring rebel songs to hand-clapping jigs and reels, they are sure to achieve that aim.  It's all on display by a group of talented musicians boasting virtuoso musicianship and perfectly blended harmonies, sure to please old and young alike.  The Blarney Rebel Band is always ready to help raise a pint, whether at a festival, party or a night at the local pub!
The Blarney Rebel Band - perfect for concerts, festivals, parties, schools, clubs or any other event looking for a good time! Blarney Rebel has performed at major festivals throughout New York State, including the Syracuse Irish Festival, the East Durham Irish Festival, the Hornell Irish Festival, the Cortland Irish Festival, Irish2000 and the Great American Irish Festival and has been the featured band at the Turning Stone Casino's St. Patrick's Day celebration for many years, as well as serving as the entertainment at the AOH National Convention opening ceremonies. Their CDs have sold all over the world, including Holland, Scotland, Australia and throughout the United States and Canada and are receiving extensive airplay on radio stations everywhere. A cut from their debut CD, "Stand With Me Boys," placed No. 1 in the worldwide Irish and Celtic Music Podcast Best of 2009 Listener's Poll, and a recent poll on the podcast named BRB one of top 20 Celtic bands in the world for 2016. Their most recent CD, "Pile High The Pennywal", is their most ambitious effort yet, featuring 13 brand-new BRB originals, ranging from exhilarating to tender to humorous, with song-writing credits shared by all five band members.
